This course contributes to achieving the seminary’s mission of equipping students for ministry by studying the Apostle Paul’s letter to believers in Rome, with an emphasis on exegesis of selected passages and discussion of issues raised for theology and ministry. The study will be set within the broader frameworks of Pauline theology and the Roman Empire in which his listeners and he lived, as well as within current scholarly discussions on Paul.
