This course will follow the course book "Advanced Theological English". The "text is written with a few special areas of focus for non-native speakers of English who are interested in theology. Perhaps the most noteworthy areas are an extended focus on advanced grammar for theological purposes and an introduction to, as well as practice within, specific theological genres: apologetics, biblical studies, church history, systematic theology, and practical theology.
The course will be divided into units which contain three “Lessons” and two “Tasks” pertaining to the theological question for that unit. The “Lessons” draw on popular and important readings from the Reformed theological tradition. As you work through them, you should acquire reading skills, identify and practice using grammatical structures, learn context-specific vocabulary, recognize genre-specific rhetorical patterns, and develop other advanced writing skills.
NOTE: This is for students with a high level of English. It will require a considerable amount of reading and writing in particular.
